Every benefice sets down, from time to time, who it is and what it intends.
The benefice profile, 2017
The profile describes the six parishes as they stood in 2017: the villages and their people, the pattern of worship in each church, how the parishes govern and pay for themselves, and what they were looking for in a new incumbent. It remains the fullest single account of the benefice, and the starting point for what comes next.
The Mission Action Plan, 2027
A Mission Action Plan is a parish's own account of where it is going: what it hopes to do in the next few years, who will do it, and how it will know whether any of it happened. The Diocese of Winchester asks every parish to have one as the plan forward.
The Revd John Searles, our Curate, is leading the six parishes in putting theirs together for 2027. Each PCC will work on its own part, and the six will then be brought into one plan for the benefice.
The plan is still being worked on with the parishes. It will be published here once the PCCs have agreed it.
If you worship in one of our churches and would like a say in it, speak to your churchwarden or to the Rector.
